What is a Market Crate?

A Market Crate from The Pickwick Place is a weekly subscription of seasonal fruits and vegetables; conveniently packed and ready for pickup. Crates will be available for pickup weekly at The Pickwick Place for a total of ten weeks, beginning in July (there is no Marion pickup location this year). Simply stop by to pick up your crate each week and drop off your empty crate from the week before. The price is $260 (same price as last year!).

You can also add a bouquet of locally-grown flowers from The Ohio Flower Girls for as an add-on option for $135 for all ten weeks or $70 for five weeks. Flower-only subscription are also available for $140.

To get started

  1. Review the options below and select the package with the correct location and flower option of your choice.
  2. Click Add to Cart and see your updated shopping cart when the page refreshes.
  3. Click the “Checkout with PayPal” and make your payment with the following prompts. Notice, there is an option to check out even without a PayPal account.
  4. Then, you’re all set! After your payment is received we will follow up with an email to confirm your order.

What is the deadline to subscribe to a session?

Session sign-ups must be received by the Monday prior to the first pick-up (July 4, 2022)

What time can I pick up my Market Crate?

You can pick up your crate anytime between the hours of 9:00am-6:00pm.

What if I miss a weekly pick-up?

We can either provide an extra week at the end of the session or provide a $26 Market gift card.

What are the bonus items each week?

Bonus items will vary week by week but will include things like honey, maple syrup, popcorn kernels, pancake mix, apple crisp mix, cider mulling spice, goat milk soap, jam & jelly, cheese, BBQ sauce and more.

How many does the Market Crate feed?

The typical customer for our Market Crates is for a family of four, however this will of course vary depending on how many fruits and vegetables you eat.

Can I substitute an item?

One of the benefits of the market crate program is guaranteed supply. However, because of the structure of the program it can be difficult to make substitutions from the standard crate; however, we are happy to accommodate as needed if you have an allergy. If you have an allergy or special accommodation for your session, please notify The Market staff prior to the start of the session.

Can I pay by check?

Yes, please make checks payable to The Market at Pickwick Place and complete this paper registration.

Are all of the items in each crate grown at The Pickwick Place?

Many of the items are grown right here at The Pickwick Place; however, we also partner with several other local growers to ensure supply and provide an interesting variety.
